Goober came 6th outright. Bloody amazing considering he's driving a car the local clown said couldn't be driven on the roads and was unsuitable for an event like this.

He also won his class. (as the same clown would say, 'won his class outright'

LOL

Great effort Goober.

local clown.................try half wit that became a full fuckwit
if you think you're faster than me you're wrong

Standing on the inside of the corner there they did get very close.... but the resulting photos can be great....

265T, i didnt realise it was you that was talking to Dave as we wandered down to that hairpin, i was standing behind him!

Heres a sequence that gave me a scare too.... was just after that hairpin where the Stang missed a gear, as they turned left at the top of the hill on the second time through...

At this point here he looked like he was coming for the tree i was standing next too...

But i didnt stop shooting!

The image after that was fair useless as i ducked behind the tree with the shutter button held down.....

Lovin' all the pics, but WTF are the organisers doing letting photographers stand so close to the track.  That caper will end in tears.

Only media accredited photographers are allowed anywhere near the course, general spectators were closely monitored. The accredited guys get a safety briefing on the first day and other photographers always make concerns known about where people shoot from. We all know the risks, and its not often that people are tagged, its one of the risks of shooting motorsports, much the same as competing and officiating an event...

Agree

the insurance will stop it I'm afraid.

An accident/injury/death from something like that could ruin motorsport for lots of us.... Stupid mamby pamby world we live in, but that's the way it is.
