Chanel 7 just had an advert for this weekends race and it showed lots of footage of recent cars andone snippetof Bill Brown barrel rolling along the fence on Pit Straight from around 1970.

me too, as much as I'm not really into the V8's, this race is just superb, always.

And this year I get to see it from my armchair, which is even better than being there IMO.

and Whincup/Owen too.

Can't see Skaife/Lowndes getting beaten on speed though... although it ain't speed that wins this race, usually.

I agree, don't care for the cars that much, but there is always sssooo much drama/action/crashes. And the last couple of years always comes down to the wire. Best day of tele ever!

The coverage is so good I watch the race at home (if you step outside you can hear them:)  but i'll go up on sat and check out the support races.

Town is packed, good to see people your not related to.

Yes also looking forward to it even though I won't recognise many drivers' names.

Shame about the F1 overlap though...  the only time it's at a reasonable hour and it overlaps our greatest local motorsport tv coverage damnit.

The support categories should be good to see too.
