The Xs were faster in qualifying than all the IXs.  The fastest IX (the Quinn car) in qual was 1.3 seconds slower than the fastest X (the Kondouris car) and the Wall IX GSR was 2.9 seconds slower.

In terms of the race, FTD was recorded by the TMR X (Rod Salmon's car) at 2min 30.97.  The Bana X's fastest lap was 2 min 31.30secs  The Wall IX GSR recorded a best time of 2min 31.53, and the winning 335i's fastest lap was 2min 31.47.  The Quinn IX recorded a best lap of 2 min 40 during the race (WAY of the pace).

The IX's qual times this year were a bit faster than their qual times in 2008 (where the Wall IX GSR qualified first in 2008 with a 2 min 30 lap).  The 2008 lap times for the Wall Evo IX was in the 2 min 30- 31second region, which seems on par with this year's times.  In fact, I'm sure it did a 2min 30 during the '08 race, which means it's fastest lap this year was slower than its fastest lap in 2008.

The car that's gained almost two seconds a lap since 2008  is this year's winning 335i, which could not keep up with the IXs in 2008.

did you see the results are still provisional, with one Evo9 having been found to have a "boost irregulairty" 

and that ^ car is not the one I saw to be incredibly fast in a straight line....
