Much less weight?... Toms car weighed ~1380kg with him in it... yours?... not much different...

Power... I can't remember which engine he had then.... but either 400BHP or 450 BHP.

Ohlins and wing... there is the secret to his cars speed... The shock control is critical to help maintain the equally critical aero.

YES, std shocks/spring rates that come with 360C are abysmal, and therefor your assertion about the skittish is basically correct... but it is quite tunable to a degree.... but again yes, as I said before, maintaining the aero under the car is very important... once out of shape, bad news.

The 355 lacks the under floor aero, so therefor it cannot drop away so dramatically like 360, BUT 355 has terrible dynamic mechanical geometry (camber and toe changes with suspension travel), making it more mechanically "skittish" than a 360... there have been MANY 355 shunts due to the tricky handling... the Bathurst one is a prime example...LOTS of suspension travel....

my car weighs 1450kg WITHOUT me in it.

my car isn't skittish in the least and, unlike the reputation they have, mine is a solid as a rock under brakes, turn in and trail braking. (thanks to the setup of MY non ohlins shockers)

of course, i'm only 13 seconds a lap faster than you, so what do i know? i'm sure at the car's limit (which i'm never near) things would be different...or maybe not...dunno.

but i digress.....i have no proof that a 450hp lightweight (relatively) race car on slicks, that was only a second or so faster than my humble time, was well set up. maybe it was a dog to drive fast(almost said pig) and that's why tom drove it 10+ seconds off it's alleged potential.
