depends on what you mean by well suited....

I can't think of anything worse to hit a tree in.... which is a high possibility.... actually amplified possibility as a Lotus is so fast.

If you must run a Lotus, do competition rather than touring, that way you'll have a roll cage.

Roll cages are also allowed in touring categories, aren't they?

yes, but they are not compulsory.... many entrants run in touring as it's the easy and cheap way to get a run... trouble is, modern tyres/cars are so fast that "touring" cars are pretty much as fast as the comp cars..... and often the level of prep and support, and driving skill is not there.

Rnning R spec tyres will wear out your brakes much faster than standrad tyres.... I've seen it so many times that a touring class car just gets parked at end of day and no checks are made. next day, brakes go to god and car goes to scenery.

If it were up to me, Touring cars would have to run on standard road tyres, no R spec allowed. Simply too fast for otherwise normal road cars.

The 308 I run isn't running this year either.

Lasst year he withdrew at the last minute (about 7 days before) due to overseas business, and they said they'd roll his entry over.

There's been some "confusion" over this it seems, so he's not running.
