Started as a $35 million upgrade to provide some more seating for some footy games. There may have been a business case for this.

Then...the most beautiful ground in Australia got butchered, $500 million + of Other People's Money appeared, and a 24 hour drinking and gambling venue appeared in the heart of North Adelaide bypassing all the usual development rules.

And the news is some athletes may be cheating and corrupt?

That's a shame.  It's a lovely ground to look at, haven't been there, just saw it from my Hotel room when there a few years back.  They lose their character when turned into a huge stadium.
