Maybe the owner has other cars and investments and he's streamlining.

I've got no comment on the investment potential of racecars but I love this euphemism. "I'm not selling something I don't want/need/like.  I'm streamlining my portfolio." :D

You can fit a lot of portfolios into a filing cabinet.

Unfortunately, cars take up more room.

Ask Andre what he'd sell his stunning lotus for? I reckon it'd be more than this Ferrari.
Shannons bumped its agreed insured value from $300k to $400k this year.

2 years ago I was offered 180k british pounds for it.
You make something idiotproof, they'll make a better idiot.

Hmmmm, let me see. They were circa $700k Australian landed and tax paid back in 2001 according to the customs documentation I have for mine. A year later they were selling for $450k Aus and 11 years later the ask is $160k Aus and it's sitting unsold for years.

I've heard your sales spiel about investment potential several times over the period  :scratchchin:

Thank God you're not a licensed financial advisor  :p

and 700k in 2001 bought a hellova lot more than in todays money, a 360 will never reach those heights in our lifetime regardless of who drove it or owns it or where it was driven

More importantly, what's the green thing behind it? Great colour.

a 330 with provenance, more chance of it going up in value than the 360

Scott's got some pless in him nowadays  :p

I've never said they were an investment from their cost new. But once they got under $200k ask, I said I reckon  they'll be ok long term.

This exact car is available from maranello motorsport for $185k+GST... So if you look at it one way, they're still at $200k ask, if you ask in the right/wrong place.

Now you've started comparing 45+ year old classic road cars, to current era future classic race cars....

You guys.....
