Parts availability?

Probably not good. They didn't make too many cars over all. Maybe 6-10 cars total for 767/787

Worse case rotary engines can be rebuilt by any rotor mechanic. The 767 is probably easier to work on as it's most like a road going rotary engine. Either way, not my problem. Until it is, I don't mind either way.

But for the record, it's the lemans car I would aspire to own.

Mecum have just listed a Porsche 962 with a link to the development of the 787.

Without parts its hard to rebuild even if it is a relatively simple engine and high performance rotary engines in my experience are unreliable beasts.

Uber cool car though.

The Nissan R90CK and the Mazda767 which is the best sounding IMO.

I came across this at a Ferrari Club of America trackday I attended a couple of years ago. Named the X-250 after the 250 employees Nissan fired for the stillborn P35 program. You can read more about it here:

Indicating how fast Group C cars remain (although this is technically IMSA GTP-spec and not Group C), Jaguar XJR-12D sets the fastest time at the Festival of Speed:
