Who is watching One's coverage of Le Mans?

Just had a massive accident between one of the Audi LMP1 cars and a GT.

I suspect there will be a safety revision after that one. There were so many media personnel on the inside of the catch fence. Very lucky none of them got a car in their lap.

I'm suprised there was no real fence to protect the photographers, lucky that it wasn't worse

I'd say it was about 20-30cm from 4 or 5 fatalities. If that car was higher the photog's would have had no chance.

rockefeller seems to have an equally spectacular crash in the dark in one of the two remaining audis
havent seen any decent footage of it, as its dark
seems hes ok though after some confusion

the only reason it got thrown up so high was because it hit the split in the fence... still, very lucky for everyone there...

Both passes by the Audi's seem a bit opportunistic,

McNish came from a long way back and Rockafeller was on the gravel before the accident.
