I was going to enter the Elfin in the event as it qualifies but I sold it a month early.

Thought about taking the Morgan across for a look but because it's not officially entered I'll probably just do a breakfast run instead.

I was going to go out there after my coffee fix at Stirling tomorrow morning. I think the pits open at 9.30 for a look, then find somewhere shady to watch them running from 12 noon onwards, then leave before it gets too hot.

Yeah, I *might* have one of the kids interested in taking a look.

Not sure which way to go or where to stop but I guess the website says something on this.

That says it all, their bandwidth has been exceeded for most of the day!

I glanced at the map yesterday, but didn't print it off. The area not to park in if you intend leaving between 12 noon and 4.30pm when the roads are closed, is bounded by Lobethal main street, Mount Torrens to Lobethal Rd, Onkaparinga Valley Rd and Lobethal - Woodside Road which connects back into Lobethal Main Street. Those are the roads which form the circuit.

LOL - it's not just me :D

But at least you sort the problem promptly. Their site is still down now! :-)

Actually the event could be a good one, but it just didn't seem to work for me. There was a good collection of cars and bikes, a surprising number of original specials. But somehow the parade laps just didn't work, especially with the bikes. Methinks the large hand of public liability shaded the event.

The cars seemed to have the better go, they spread themselves over the course to a certain extent. However the bikes appeared constrained by the police escort, coughing and spluttering along in parts as they weren't allowed a free rein. But at least they filled the air with vapeur de Castrol R as they passed!
