Engine has 25 hours of life at 10,500 rpm before it needs its 40,000 pound refresh

Based on use it'll get..... that's 15 years of running, cosworths aren't cheap but they are awesome engines
Awesome mate, can't wait to see/hear some video at the track...

Not sure you'd want to leave it 15 years for the next refresh  :p

Cosworth have said 10 years max, engine was built for Le Mans 24 hour and with practice and quali makes it a 25 hour engine at 10,500 rpm

It can rev to 12,500 but it'll be good for 8-12 minutes in quali spec for a gp

First start up in Australia since 1988 Adelaide GP.

Runs very crisp

Awesome effort by TeamBRM, car is as described by the vendor.........and to think we did this without that idiot Phil from Melb

Nice to see people saving these old cars. Good luck with the project. Wish you all the best and hope to see it run at the AMF.

Trying to get a log book for one of these things.
they want a roll hoop specification.......FIA dont have any documents, I had a chief scrutineer from SA who had lunch with Charlie Whiting over the weekend and Charlie did the scrutineering on the car in '88 in adelaide, he said back then after a test tub was crash tested they never logged any further car/s for the season.
Thus the good news is there is no documentation and the bad news is there is nothing to go on. For super sprints its ok to use but proper racing it'll need a log book.
Now the funny part, we can all go and buy a Hyundai Excel and cage it ourselves and sign off on the cage but they won't look at an F1.....go figure.

And dont start me on the hysterical side.......
