Sick and tired of car shows that spend so much time promoting themselves that they've forgotten all about the cars?

So was the All Japan Day organising committee! We decided to band together and create a simple event that 'got back to basics' and allowed entrants and spectators to do what they love doing best - just admire and talk about the sensational cars on display. By keeping it simple, we've also kept the costs down, which has benefited both entrants and spectators.

The All Japan Day committee is very keen to attract entrants with classic Japanese cars, as this has been another segment of the enthusiast market that has all but been forgotten in recent years.

We are very excited about our inaugural event on 27 April 2008 and we hope its success will encourage suitable entrants from interstate (maybe even overseas? Mazda please send us a 787B racer!) in future years.

So, come and enjoy us for a relaxing day out and be dazzled by some of Australia's finest Japanese automobiles.

Will probably have more rice than a nasi goreng factory, but I put it up here in case anyone's interested.

depending on your definition of rice, this will be a very carb conscious event...

It's looking like a fine event, over a 100 cars already including the usual suspects, plus some golden classics..

Almost a full compliment of rotaries from the r100 to rx7

2 Datsun 1500 roadsters, an IRPA RA40, 1968 colt 1100 and 1100 fastback, 1972 Crown, Mazda 1300, an all original TA22 Celica, 1967 Isuzu Bellets, and a 1965 toyota lite-stout....

still a month to go...

plenty of time for an nsx, or a 2000 GT or a bunch more classics...

:P

Hehe - was funny I actually went past one yesterday but I made sure to pull up next to it briefly to compare (long story, a fag mate once compared my car to an Exa)  would be funny to see from outside but from inside I think I was sitting about 12-14 inches lower.

Just like an X19, only reliable.

Mine's reliable - reliability is the act of being able to predict behaviour.... I can predict my car will break down at least once per week. :)
