If you aren't doing anything next weekend and a F1 fan I highly recommend you go see the second showing.

The film basically is made up of all rare and unseen footage which builds up the Senna story. They particularly focus on his world championships, the bitter feud with Prost and how the FIA screwed him over.

There's lots of behind the scenes footage from the drivers briefings and from inside the team garages.
It ends with the San Marino weekend. Even though you know what’s coming it still shocking.

I grew up watching Senna drive and have seen most of the documentaries done to date. This movie gives a greater insight into the man that all the previous documentaries put together.

Here is the real trailer (The film festival put up the wrong trailer )

Yeap full house. Lots of Brazilians and lots of Senna fans (In 80s/90s GP gear).

It's been on Japanese release as well as the Sundance Film Festival (And now Adelaide).

Seems Strange that they are not announcing releases around the world .

Some blogs are saying that the are only releasing the film in each country as they have a GP.

Here is a excellent write up on the film:

Just stumbling around yesterday and saw it on a whim - fantastic!

I think they could have delved more into his personal life, you get to know him a lot better, but there's still almost zilch about who he was outside of racing.

One classic scene I loved is where he gets fed up at the FIA and totally crushes them calling them out on hypocrisy and exits frustrated but vindicated - all you heard reported in the media "Senna departed early from the driver's meeting over a disagreement". :p

But one thing I found really sad (slight spoiler coming up) is that after his third world championship even though he came across as really satisfied and has everything in the world, he's giving an interview and they ask how he feels and what he's looking forward to now that he's achieved this.  He responds by basically saying he feels great at this achievement, but can't wait to find happiness and satisfaction some time later as he's just not happy with his life. :?

Anyhoo, go see it.
