Saw it Saturday night, thought it was good, but not as good as it was hyped up to be IMO. Was just a very simple look at his career and focused on several key happenings.
Some of the crashes were very confronting, I'm OK watching someone die in a movie when you know its fake, but watching it for real was a bit of a shock.

But his driving in the wet was extraordinary.  Made everyone else look like amateurs, that was the biggest thing I took away from it.

All in all a good movie.

I really enjoyed it and have always admired him.

Coming into it, I was expecting to be disappointed about the man behind the name as I was only young when he was around, and for me, the biggest & most important thing I took away from the film was that he much more than the exceptional I was supporting.

One thing my family stood for was that it is the duty for those with skills/money re-distribute this wealth as they see fit. It was so pleasing to me that he stood for this and bit by bit was trying to make a difference to the world. As far as I am concerned, his F1 achievements were amazing but pale into insignificance compared to his contribution to society and to think he was doing this in his early 30s - an amazing man.

I wondered how you'd go seeing it with two other dudes... I was a blubbering mess, glad I watched it alone.

my eye's were watering from not wearing my glasses

the line you pointed out earlier in the thread about having plenty of time to be happy in the future as he wasn't at that stage was the main thing that hit me in the movie, it really is a big cliche but you just don't know whats going to happen

Just saw it...

I think F1 fans from my generation and younger would get alot from this movie. It blew us all away, and I deliberately took a non-F1 fan.

The weekend of the accident was utter silence, except for the occasional whispered "my god" and "fuck me"...

This is a must watch documentary IMO...
