Must be a bit disappointing for you all to have such a brilliant new car which after only a few weeks is much worse for wear.  Seems like it's had a hard run lately.

You don't ask that question of the person that makes money from the crash.   ;)

...and let me tell you that hit was a LOT louder from downstairs in the pits.

We were inside the garage doing driver change practise in the GT40 and it looked a lot worse than that video makes out since we clearly saw the Porsche above roof level of the other cars.   :scared:

ah, a bit.

But they're only new until Pit exit... it's a race car, a tool for a job, and it will get used as such by Ted... which I admire, respect and encourage ;)

The biggest dissapointment is that Allan never got to post his 1.28 in a race, and that Ted and Allan didn't do the 1 hr race.

the damage is just a blip.

It'll fix up great, and there's a few little tweaks we can do along the way which will imporve it here and there.

perhaps I should explain...

Ted has two guys that work for his Chemical co. that do 80% of the work on the car and come to the races too.

I just do crew chief/engineer at race meetings, and I do the more technical mechanical stuff in the shop if needs be.

This crash is not a technical thing really, teds own guys will do 90 to 95% of this repair themselves.

I won't make a dollar from the crash, and we'll miss the next race which will actually mean it's COST me money.

FYI  :tilt:

Awh, come on...  my reply was way funnier.  You can do better.   :p

 :p

I charge less for weekend work than I do for weekdays too.... 'cos I'm happy to be there!

I love my job!
