Today's the last day of the Syd motor show and I decided to pay it a visit.

Overall, I was left unimpressed. Here are my highs and lows:

Highs
- Loving the look of the new M3 and they had a white one on display. So tempted to put a deposit on a white DSG version and black rims...drool..

- Evo X looking great! Have concerns with their experience with paddles...

- Audi RS4...HOT! Might even prefer it over the M3

- So many racing sim rigs...would love to have one in the bedroom....need $15k from somewhere...

- Lexus IS-F.....wow..

Lows
- Masseratti GT...looked much better in the photos. Front lights looked too small in real life.

- Merc C class...ughh...can't see myself in an AMG version even.

- HSV cabin quality looked pretty poor. Dissapointing.

- Nothingexciting from Lambo or Ferrari

- BMW only had their X6 concept on display

- Everything else on show was boring

I think Oz motorshows nowadays aren't going to be that exciting because by the time it gets to us we've already seen a million pics and vids of the cars on the interwebs.

Really the only ones to go to now are those where cars are unveiled for the first time.

I had the same thoughts.

Loved the new M3 and the RS4, and wouldnt mind either.

Loved the M Coupe, always has been a favorite of mine.

AMG CLK 63 (i think) was ok, didnt like nor have I, the SL500.

I was at the Motor Show for about 45min and then bailed out of it.

i didnt go to the motorshow but did get to drive one of the star attractions

was heading down the nepean today and saw an E92 M3 on the slip lane. Pulled into the dealer, and said i may be interested in upgrading - not really, i want a 997 S cab next, but nonetheless i went for a burn

there def is a power gain over my car, convert weight penalty making the difference even larger, but it still felt like a 335 to me. Its just too refined i think, its not raw and on edge like the old inline 6. I was having withdrawal symptoms going from my raw purpose built modded 350Z to the M3 thinking it was too civilised for me (and after cancelling my 335i convert order for the same reason), now after driving the E92, im loving the E46 even more. I got back into my car, dropped all the windows, flicked the sport button and was running through 3-5K rpm loving the rasp anew

5k?  Soft!!!!!!!!!!!!!  my tacho STARTS at 5k!!!  :D

Then again, it's got the torque of a sleigh of gerbils so it won't even leave the line at anything under 4 :(

I'd like to think that too, it's obviously the laws that are wrong.
