Guys, please do not publish names yet, a request has been made indirectly from the family.

This is very sad indeed.  :(

AFAIK, reports coming through is that Tristan (the navigator) is awake and communicating which is great news. Apparently he has a fractured spine and is undergoing surgery tonight. Anything over and above that, I am unaware of - info at this point in time is scant.

Condolences to the friends and families of John Mansell.

I received a phone call from Tristan's girlfriend Kate this morning & have been receiving updates from his dad thru the day.

Kate is also navigating in Targa & has been by his side the whole time. Tristan is ok & he has been conscious the whole time. He can move all his limbs & will be having surgery tonight for a neck injury.

Thank you to everyone for their concerns & well wishes. Condolences to John's family

He still lurks here Phill  ;)

Of course, its a great community....

Best wishes for a speedy recovery to Tristan and sincere condolences to the drivers family.

In related news, this incident has contributed to a big decision made today by a customer of mine. Not appropriate to post here though.
