I built the engine and gearbox 9 Years ago... Only had routine servicing in all the time since, and still runs as sweetly as ever, and burnt only 1 litre of oil on entire 3000km event!

It's a miraculous car, it talks to me, I talk to it. It's amazing.

Same clutch all that time too... Sintered paddle..... Just a few adjustments.... How many launches!

It's called living rather than existing.

It's just a car, the life stories and memories, are great. The book, if it gets finished, will be epic.

Not really, the secret is to prep properly, and that includes mental prep and attitude.

Also, remember, recce is very important.

The great thing about 308s is that you CAN drive them flat out, and get immense satisfaction in doing so, rather than driving a faster car at 80%, and kidding yourself you're flat out.

Agree with that but to finish first, first you have to finish.

Anyway my 80% may be your flat out! ;)

Exactly. On second last day, 35 cars crashed or broke down... 35!!!!

This 308 got fastest classic time of all on last stage.... Tyres all good and no extras used...

There's flat out, for the latte set, and there's flat out for Ferraristi.... Boys and men.....

The only area of embarrassment, is that they use a ten year old boxster as recce car!
