308 looks great with the spoiler and colour treatments all done. Is it on Sunday nights boat to Taswegieland?

I dropped in to the Melbourne Performance Centre this arvo which is down the road from me to talk to them about their dyno. They have prepared 15 cars for the event, mostly Nissan's and the occasional Rex. The White's white Gallardo was there as well getting some programming done.

What time do they have to be on board? Will be a good parade of cars to see.

It does look good. There's a glass 308 from NSW in the event, was is it last year too. Very nice car.

I think Targa had the biggest field ever this year, 306 entries (despite a limit of 300? ) , a great array of people and cars out to enjoy 5 great driving days.

Yeah... the other one is Robert Gambino

Nice guy..

He spun out on his own leaking fuel a couple of years ago, and crashed into a hay bale... while on fire...! (prob a video somewhere of this, it's on the official DVD)

The fuel leak was caused by the float bowl plug coming loose and falling out...

it was "attended to" not long before the event.. and the mechanic used the CORRECT ORIGINAL fibre washers on the plug...

But it came loose because these washers shrink and loosen after a short while from new, and must be re-tightened.

BUT, It is much safer and quite acceptable to use copper washers on the carb fittings, instead of fibre ones...... Then this kind of probelm doesn't happen.

The fire damage put him out the event and caused over $20k worth of damage.
