$400+ per lesson. You need minimum 50 lessons to get your licence.

That's reasonably cheap thrills. I reckon I'd burn $2k on an average track day...
C'mon, do it!

I'd be bloody stoked if a track day only cost me $2k  :(

Of course some people will argue to their dying breath that race cars are as "cheap as chips" to run

Most places have a trial instructional flight for about an hour to see if you like it.
They usually discount that a bit and it counts for your hours if you go on.

He is never away from AE, normally responds in minutes to any post. Don't know how he manages to get any work done :)

Just had an interesting chat with technical head here at Michelotto about 333 running costs. All parts available inc new tubs now, and yes, surprisingly affordable.

333 mechanically reliable for "well over 30 hours, maybe double"

Curiously, they dont seem to even be aware of the one in Melbourne having issues.....

Anyway, already into it here, weather is perfect too :)

I bet affordable in Michelotto land is a pretty laughable concept. How much is an engine refresh then? A full rebuild ?

30-60 hours (!!) before an engine refresh (or is it rebuild?).........fook me you're right, cheap as chups

No surprise there.

That's my average mate, though I suspect we've both got horror stories on the 'expensive' days  :D

I think $2k is a pretty fair estimate for your average track day in a road car where wear and tear is accounted for properly and nothing goes bang/crash.

In race cars $2k will barely get you to the track and back with one crew member to run the car.
