Monza straight is 1194m.  This guy can steer a bit above the average level and hits 295km/hr indicated on his best attempt.

Phillip Island is a bit under 900m long.  It has 3 gradients, starting with a downhill section after the exit of turn 12, turning into a slight climb, followed by another downhill after the overpass.  

Corner speed in the final corners of both tracks isn't dissimilar.  

I very much doubt you'd hit 300 indicated, let alone 300 true speed.

P.S. LESS 10% for speedo error and what do you know? 270 like I've been saying! I don't believe the extra 200m makes a huge difference btw, but the corner onto the straight looks a fair bit faster. .... maybe

so where was he on the straight when he hit 300?

he must of been a lot further back to where a race car can go to before hitting the brakes to make turn 1, and he would be out of the last turn a lot slower than a race car too, which all up reduces the distance he has to make it to 300.

can't wait to get my in-car of the lambo from PI on the weekend, it should show entry speed into 12 and speed before braking at 1. i'll see what that can uncover.

The corner approach speed is quite different. The gradient is different. What tyres? Can he brake late? That car has a passenger. It short shifts a bit too.

300 is possible at Phillip Island. It's been done.

And what about wind speed, direction. Temp, humidity etc etc.

No doubt it'll be similar to our own in car video, that we have already.

Race car accelerates slowly compared to much less draggy road car with MORE power in Ferrari case.
