Look at this, right now (in the last 15mins) there's 40 visitors on the site, only 6 or 7 in the forums.
Thats because they cant read anything in the forums

It doesn't work with one of my laptops...

Neither, it just says, "Operation Aborted" and goes to a "Internet Explorer can not display the page"

I assume this is only on the front page?

*sigh* - more IE madness - it's certainly not a rare phenomenon.

That's the biggest problem with IE - it's erratic in what results you get so it makes it difficult to diagnose.

Either way - I moved the scripting which was most likely causing the "operation aborted" error to a place where it should no longer cause it.

Still does it *sometimes* :?  i might just make it detect IE6 users and send all that traffic through to the list of bugs, incompatibilities with the browser standard, and endless list of hacks and workarounds on the Microsoft page.

Hey, this place is about the finest things available, not Corollas and Commodores, soooo, yep! :p

I use Microsoft - actually most of the $ I make is from developing MS stuff, it's just anything pre IE7 is rubbish, and developing for it is very much like having 100kph speed limits because most people have crap cars and can't drive.
