Im looking to buy a ferrari which I will rent out and I wanted to ask what the most popular model is? Any feedback/opinions would be most appreciated.

Model ? What model do you think is most popular, people would want to drive in for a day or so?

Colour ? Red or what is the preference here?

Year ? If it was a few years old ie 2009 do you think it would still be wanted ??

Following my other post, asking what the most popular Ferrari model is, what do you think the most popular sports cars are??
What luxury sports cars people would want to rent?

I thought about this once before.. If you want to run it as a real business and not as an excuse to own a Ferrari, this is what I would do.
I'd have a range of 3 or 4 models of cars.
MX5's, Boxsters, and Lotus Elise and or Exige... something for everyone,  reliable models without massive service costs. You want to keep the hire prices down so turnover and profit is still high. Run it for 12 to 24 months and use the profit to buy yourself a Ferrari.

Yes an F40, servicing costs should not be excessive.

Thanks, your advise is great - I really appreciate it!

The cheapest Ferrari 458 I see is $479k 2010 FERRARI 458 ITALIA F142 DCT so you may be right, I may need to wait!
I looked forums and would I budget around $5k per year on maintenance?

MX5's, Boxsters, and Lotus Elise and or Exige..

Would you say:
Porsche Boxer 2009 or newer would be in demand?? Any recommendations on colour?
2011 LOTUS ELISE 111 MY11 we could do, colour ?  They have yellow ones, but not sure on that?
Also thought 2010 BMW Z4 E89 MY10 SDRIVE23I ??

and maybe..2010 CHEVROLET CAMARO SS  ??

So an F40 (1987 to 1992) would be more popular than a newer Ferrari?? Would it be expensive to maintain more than a newer one?

F40 would be the only Ferrari I'd pay to rent.
