They could have atleast done a GT2 or something

I suspect he got an unexpected drive and just put it up against the car he came in. A GT2 wouldn't see which way it went either.

I think the point of putting it up against the carrera was to show just how other worldly fast the GTR is, even against a car that's pretty fast by most standards.

The McLaren F1, in any and all of its various guises, is the greatest car of all time, IMHO.

Love the McLaren so much! Even an LM would do me.

Mate... an LM is the pick of the litter!  There are only 6 in the world!  It's the most collectible F1 variant there is, save for perhaps the roadgoing longtail (F1 GT).  Price-wise, it goes:  F1 LM > F1 > GTR

I know, but I was referring to it in terms of performance, an LM would be plenty quick enough.

Something about a stripped out racer like the GTR that appeals to me, regardless of value.
