Understeer is a bitch.

'Ring: 1, VXR: 0

The Astra VXR is mad. Officially mad. Certifiably mad. Take it too fast around a corner and it will happily show you what ‘tree' tastes like.

This chap took his 240bhp Astra VXR ‘Nurburgring Edition' to its namesake track and - after admitting driving too fast into the corner - promptly stacked his pride and joy into the safety barriers.

Needless to say the VXR was a write off. Thankfully, nobody was seriously injured. But let this be a lesson dear readers: VXRs are mad, and the ‘Ring is a cruel mistress...

Germans are always prepared and organised, heard of Blitzkrieg?

For a front wheel drive car the 2 door astras are quite tail happy, the missus has the coupe non turbo version and at high speeds the back likes to come out and try to act like a decent car... probably depends on what tyres and how much your accelerating/braking though...
You can say I'm wrong, but my garage doesn't agree with that statement!!!

turbo astra is the same basic engine as my car
good to know people are busy creating spare parts for me

on another note, didnt the guy get out of the car and seem fine?
despite that, multiple ambulances and a helicopter evac
I assume you get a bill for all that?

Apparently you get a very nasty bill if you stick it in. Armco repair, emergency vehicles the whole lot.
