I really need something new for Tassie.  The problem is, the Gallardo was/is probably the best car for a wet road drive like that so I've been spoilt.  I guess the M5 would do.  The main thing is to be there - the choice of steed should be secondary.  Yes, even the Mazda would do. For one thing, I wouldn't have to worry about the weight of a passenger too often. :)

just go nuts and get a top spec Evo 8 or 9 or Makkinen or whatever... will spend half of bugger all and have a "disposable" Gallardo beater while you make your real decision...

Not a bad idea.

With the Evo X just around the corner, it shouldn't be hard to get a new IX for wholesale...

It's OK - I've just found a couple but I'm struggling to see myself sitting in one.  The image is all wrong.

There's a new Caterham... I'm not a massive fan of the clubman style, but would be massive fun... cost is up near an Exige though.

uh huh... yet the MX5 is ok?

Well, the MX5 doesn't look like I'm trying.  The EVO does.
