Does the M5 default to the second setting everytime you start it? The 3 does and i hate it. First thing i do is click it up 2 settings. Then its great

Yes, every time.  The next setting up gives you first gear which is better but still not perfect.  Up 2 notches and tip-in is perfect - but the car won't change up from third gear at 60km/h.

Porsche's PDK is way better.

That's very different
M3 will go through to 5th or 6th iirc.
And it only starts in 2nd if you select setting 1
Haven't tried PDK but I expect it would be good, the whole cars another level up........and price

Every time I took a Porsche out I was left disappointed, I think I know now that it was the tiptronic, next time I fall backwards into a pit of money I'll try PDK.

They gave me this for an hour on Saturday, went for a quick blast - freeway and some twisties. The car is absolutely phenomenal...but as is on road at $185k!

The prices are just too steep. IMO, they should be around the $150-165k mark.

That white looks bloody great!

Nuxi & Matt, from your brief experiences, are they worth the asking prices?

That's true. I don't understand why bmw doesn't work on a better exhaust.
My v10 used to sound a bit like diesel car at idling, I had to upgrade to quicksilver exhaust to justify the car.
