Well after 3 days of work and protocol writing on the 6 litre diesel monster we completed the tuning on friday night.
For those of you who have never driven one, and i suspect thats most of you , of you get the chance do it.
With 1000nm std its quite something. Biggest drawback i guess is the huge torque troughs (relatively speaking) on shifting gears, especiallyh in full flight between 2/3 and 3/4.
Good news though, these can be reduced significantly and boy is it something to behold now.
For a 2+ ton monster, the new-found power and torque is just something else!
Customer had a V10 Touareg we completed for them as well which he was delighted with , but the V12 is a totally different animal.
Well worth the long nights!

So, have you changed any hardware... intercoolers, turbos, filters etc etc... or just done some codework?

How does the dsg handle 1000nm+  torque

I thought that's why the limited it to 1000nn as it was the maximum the diff and dsg could take

The trans is not dsg so its fine, actually shifts well.
With that much power on tap, no reason to change the turbos etc. Customer just wanted some more go out of his V10 touareg and V12 Q7.
