Hi guys,

I have a friend, who wants to import a Bugatti Veyron into Australia, but he does not know how much it will cost him in duties (taxes).

Does anyone know how much the import taxes would be on a $1million Bugatti Veyron?

I think it is roughly around 30%-40% of the cost price, but i am not quite sure....

Also, are you able to drive a Bugatti Veyron on the roads of Australia? Seeming though Maclaren's are allowed to?

If anyone has any idea about this please inform me :D

Thanks for the help

As vehicle can't be registered, would LCT apply?

Any special reason why it cant be registered? Asking out of ignorance, I'm wondering if a Koenigsegg or McLaren can get registered is there something that would be stopping the Veyron?

The McLaren is central driving position and the Koenigsegg and Pagani are right hand drive.

Yeah, one heck of a conversion I guess, with airbags etc... possible, but one great load of work and at some kind of cost. Not worth it unless your James Packer and want to show off dads money.

Nobody complies them (probably) so it could not be complianced until someone gets the ticket to compliance Veyrons...

If you wait until it's 15 years old, it'll become significantly easier - as they only have to pass generic compliance.
