Hi Everyone,

My first post and I do apologise if this is already been posted.

We have just purchased a small BMW 120i Convertible in HK. We have around 12 months or so on our current contract and plan to move back home to Sydney - but also thinking about bringing the car back.

For people who have done this is it worth it ? Do you have to jump through hoops and from a compliance perspective do they make you make a lot of changes ?

Any advice would be welcome and thank you !

The personal import route is very simple, just so long as you tick all the boxes and have owned the car for more than 12 months ( you also have to subtract any time outside the country of residence). 

If I was filling out all the paperwork again, I'd feel a little bemused at only bringing in a BMW 120 into the country..  You sure there's nothing a little more exotic that tickles your fancy.
