Alan - I set up the Skyline Club in VIC with a mate (Snowman on here) a few years ago.
You need a committee made up of pres, treas, secretary. You need a constitution (I can send you our old one) and you need to pay a fee to CAMS.

Wasn't that hard - we did it so we could run our own events at DECA and Winton, and it grew from there.
Will dig up some old stuff and shoot you an email tomorrow.

Every car club I've been a member of has been an incorporated association, not a Pty Ltd company.
