And you still love it obviously  :)

Sometimes I wonder if I drove one today whether I would have the same opinion. I did 18000 miles in ours from 1989-1996?
Thrashed it in a Targa Tasmania which was terrifying. Did dozens and dozens of track days where it ate brakes faster than tyres. Did a couple of Grand Prix Rallies as well. In other words, made it do things that it was terrible at and it showed.
If  I owned one today it would be driven gently on the roads like the big GT that it is. In those conditions it might just be better than ok  :scratchchin:

Yes, I think you have nailed it. We all evolve in our tastes. I have never been a talented or trained driver (ie. never been on a track) and I expect the Testa would be a handful in that environment whereas an Aerial Atom = perfect.
It has enough comfort over a 512BB, whilst not being too antiseptic (like the Murcie) to drive.  Still requires engagement and is quite visceral.

Did you ever have a diff failure in your Testa?

No diff failure in ours, or anything else significant that I can recall. Given it got thrashed in Targa with standing starts from 52 (?) competitive stages plus all the other track work, I would have expected it to fail then if it was ever going to fail.
The big issue with our car was terrible brakes. It would destroy a set of pads at every outing, and if it was Calder it would stuff the  front discs as well.
With the supurb brakes of todays cars, it is easy to forget how woeful they were in the 60's to mid 1990's.

I'm easy:

1. A top end Lambo or a hypercar - Huayra, Veyron/Chiron, etc
2. A Phantom
3. A Jeep Rubicon

All possible situations covered.
