Had a great outing on Saturday - perfect weather, interesting selection of cars (though a greater representation of euros and exotics would have been nice) and came home with a class win (1D for unmodified production cars up to 6000cc).  Only stayed for 4 runs with a best run of 23.6 sec at about 230kph trap speed.

I need to do some editing to sort out the rest of the GoPro footage as most of it ended up being dominated by wind noise.

My wife came home with two trophies - class win for 1E (unmodified over 6000cc) and fastest female - for a 24.2 at about 225kph in her C63 Estate.

interesting camera angle... it felt like you were crabbing up the runway...

nice work though... at least one exotic showed up

Thanks - it was our first outing with the GoPro and we were experimenting with different camera placements.  The rear window used for that video didn't give the best angle of vision but was about the only one where the engine could still be heard over the wind noise.

Ahhh. Awesome writeup 993tits. I hear the Ultima won some kind of class???? Maybe there was a class for upside down bathtubs. Kebabs - your mate from AN racing was driving, get him on here for the story!!!   :)

Still stuck in Melbourne. I think I might have to burn some flannies for warmth.
C'mon, do it!

A win is a win man! I'm sure FF will chime in to elaborate on how the Ultima is a bit scary.

All good, I was worried it was rolled or something drastic with that upside down reference. I quite like the style of the ultima.

I thought the idea of the event was about the terminal speed at the end of 1000 metres.

Speaking of which - are the final results posted yet?  Keen to see how we all ended up especially with the trap speeds.
