Doesn't make any difference to the general comparison really.  In any case I have driven several standard plain Jane 430's for long enogh to know the difference.

And yet I drove a 430 Scud back to back with a 458 and hated the nuts off the Scud.

And yet I drove a 430 Scud back to back with a 458 and hated the nuts off the Scud.

Depends on what you want from a car. The Scud is absolutely raw and hard as nails. It is a real driving experience, much the same as past 911 RS models. The 458 will achieve the same pace in absolute comfort with minimal effort. A bit sanitized; but much more usable. The Speciale is somewhere between a Scud and a normal 458, probably closer to the 458 end of the scale.
