I think it sounds pretty good from inside the car and out.................. for a Turbocharged engine.

It is funny how virtually everybody makes the same qualification when discussing a 488's sound.

It sounds good; but it isn't anything like as good as a normally aspirated Ferrari engine.

As long as it sounds good, most people will be satisfied. Does it sounds as good as a 458? No idea.

After hearing a 488 on the red line as a passenger and as an observer at Phillip Island, I can tell you that it sounds very good; but not as good as a 458. Time will tell if that matters to people who buy them; but IMO it won't matter in the slightest.

Yes, but people that liked 360's generally didn't like 355's looks and vice versa. They are two very different looking cars.

Of course, everything else about the 488 is (apparently) significantly better, so noise? meh! ( to some)
