Hey guys

Still a few little issues with the 360 -

When I hit a decent bump in the road, the warning light for the roof comes on - I need to stop, and then re-engage the roof for it to turn off.

When I'm reversing or driving from a standstill, and I turn the wheel fully to the left or right, there's a slight scraping noise.

Not sure if these things can be seen to be Lube Mobile (so much more convenient for me at work), or if I should take it to a "proper" mechanic.

Any advice?

Sweet jebus no. No disrespect to LubeMobile, but if it's not something reasonably straightforward for you (and maybe a mate with a flashlight) to see then you should take your very expensive car to a proper mechanic who's experienced with Ferraris for it's first big shakedown/service before small niggles turn into something more serious.

Have the reasonably big service items been nailed on the car? Major service, cam belts, pump etc - if not then you'll need a competent Ferrari mech to handle these, so might as well get the car done properly in one hit.
C'mon, do it!

The car had it's 15,000km service including new belts done at an authorised Ferrari mechanic in Sydney - the KM's are up to 18,000.

I've done the old yellow pages "ferrari mechanic canberra" - there was 1, but the old italian man said they don't have any computer equipment, and he seemed a bit lost when I was explaining it's a 360 ... he didn't really understand which Ferrari it was, which completely destroyed my confidence.

I'm hoping someone on here can refer a mechanic in the Canberra area, or have heard of a good one ... otherwise it will be a bit of hit and miss :(

Try posting up on the FChat AU section as well, there's a few canberrans there.

Join up the FCA and there'll be other Canberra members too who can probably give you a better steer! Our guy in Sydney is legendary, but it's a long run for a service.

...<edit> - other thing - no warranty from the dealer???
C'mon, do it!

Erik,

I thought you bought the car from Ferrari Sydney??? you were looking at one of their 360 modena, right? then I thought you would have got it from Italia Motori as well???

Sorry to hear that there are small issues, but I am sure a ferrari specialist will get them sorted in no time. Best of luck!

cheers,

richie

Join the fCA  FERRARI OWNERS CLUB

they will proivde contacts a few members

the roof is a sensor so you need a specialist to check

the scraping noise is there are bolts on the front leading edge of the wheeel arch which may protrude which need tighening

i have put 20 inch wheels on so scrapping on full lock is just one of lifes little pleasures :D
try it you may like !!!

I use to live in Canberra some great driving roads up there.

FCA first port of call!

Anything 360 based in electrics needs specialists not someone who will charge you for their education on how to fix something. Not to mention the test drive around the block at the upper limits of the rev range.
Last I remember there was about 6 factory trained technicians up there.

Good luck!

Warning: If they reference you to Ray Gulson, politely decline and ask for another name or repairer.

Hi guys,
just joined up the forum, i have been reading on and off for a while.

Anyway, can anyone recommend where to service a Ferrari in Canberra. I haven't purchased yet, just trying to figure out if I will be able to even service here, or will i need to take it to Sydney each time.

I know there are a couple of canberra owners here, would love to hear your feedback. I have tried searching, but couldn't find any threads.

cheers
