I'm looking at a car tomorrow and I was wondering how to tell the difference between a priv import or an aussie delivered one?
I'm assuming like other imports they still get that purple sticker compliance plate somewhere near the engine, and a aussie delivered one would probably have a rivited compliance plate or something similar?

How else to distinguish a priv from an aussie 360? other than the speedo having mph and it being left hand drive?

cheers
You can say I'm wrong, but my garage doesn't agree with that statement!!!

it won't be left hand drive for a start. I know of at least one 360 here that WAS left hand drive, but has been converted over, and it's NOT easy to spot, unless you have time and tools.

depending on who complied it, and whether it was RAWS or Personal import, you're probably going to find it in the drivers door jamb.

OE green ones are on the back rail near the silencer.

Import plates I've seen are usually NOT there... dunno why? But the door area is actually a better place for them, as OE ones are easily damaged by clumsy servicing/silencer changes or crashes.

3 things to look for.
Passenger door jamb will have compliance plate if import.
Usually thermostat will be in farenhiet if import, degrees celcius if oz del.
and rear of car, in engine bay will have a small green plate riveted to frame if oz del.
they are the only differences.
speedo will be in km/ph As it is part of the compliancing
If you tell me who is selling, i can tell you now if its import or not as  i know almost all 360's for sale atm.
Everything looks better in carbon fibre

Bought it today, November 2002, Red 360 F1 spyder, 13000km, serviced every 900km. Australian delivered as new condition inside and out except for 2 light stone chips at the front. Creme interior.

Took 4 months of searching but well worth the wait. And before any smart ass remarks.... YES i'm back in the Ferrari SCENE.
