wtf - how do you post or even see pics or vids at that speed?  I only bumped the thread because that's the speed my interwebs were running a little while ago and it was completely useless.

I honestly don't know, it doesn't feel that slow to me,  sometimes it starts playing up.

Does being on a wireless connection make any difference as opposed to being on cable-thingy?

Not really - apart from perhaps just a few extra milliseconds of lag.  Prior to recently I've always been plugged into the wall, now I'm running a wifi setup - and as you can see from the speeds I posted ages ago in this thread vs the one I just posted above - the difference is negligble.
