Audi want something like $550 for one of these keys.

The dealer who sold me my S4 failed to mention that all but one of the keys (they normally come with three) were missing...

So does anyone know a more affordable option?  incl discounts and or alternatives?

My car has the automatic seat and mirror presets option, so ideally i'd like the solution to support that.

hi, my8, you can use the sbb key to make a new one, this tool is easy to use, and as I know it just costs us$200.
Or you can call the locksmith for help.
Good luck.

Citroen quoted ~$400 for a C4 flipout key. Went on Ebay and found genuine keys from the UK for around $15-25 including postage. Called locksmiths and auto service shops around Sydney and finally found a few able to reprogram for around $100.

Many of them reprogrammed, but mostly for Holdens/Fords, took a while to find someone able to do a Citroen. You should have better luck for your Audi.
