Yeah, its the same with turbo supercars like its difficult to hear the gtr and turboed 911's.

After experiencing the Masa with custom exhaust I now know how important sound is, stand near a Gran Turismo or 430 when they start up, .........just exciting.
BUT the R8 is an R8 and wonderful.

Drove an R8, very nice car but lacks the excitement of an Italian and makes no noise, quite disappointing.
But as I say...... lovely car.

Stop dreaming :)
You can say I'm wrong, but my garage doesn't agree with that statement!!!

Whats an R8 V8 going for these days ?

They seem to be holding their value for some reason???
Although that is just carsales asking price, one sold at auction recently at $150k + buyers fee and rego.
You can say I'm wrong, but my garage doesn't agree with that statement!!!

I mean January 2010 the cheapest R8 was a black manual 2008 model with 8000km at Rick damelian was $199k drive away, now the cheapest asking is $$192k. Ofcorse from new they drop like a rock but from 14 months ago till now, 2nd hand ones seem to be holding their value. (except for the auction one).
You can say I'm wrong, but my garage doesn't agree with that statement!!!

They have suprised me with how there holding up. I dont mind them, they stand out quite abit, but i'd rather the 5.2
