$50k and it goes harder than Les's would be amazing - as always would have to be wary of custom stuff done to it, and the bodykit isn't tooo objectionable... if it's all hunky-dory it's about the best bang-for-buck going at the moment.

an E36 M3 for 25k would be a better bang for buck

BMW's bore me.  Engine wrong end, look is meh, sound is meh, sit up too high, too insulated from the ride...

M1 is about the only beamer I'd have.

Not driven, spent time in yours though, goes fast but it's even less exciting than a porker.  Been in a bunch of M5's at megaspeed, again it didn't do anything for me, I never really enjoyed it until you were at something approaching death, and then that's not really "enjoying" it, it's just scaring the shit out of you.

NSX is fun at any speed, and capable of mindblowing stuff.

Just saying it'd be a great car, hard to beat for the money, but I'm not in the market yet.

no, sold it and bought a R32 Golf, the M3 was grin factor, i have never seen the worth in nippon stuff, its horses for courses. I would go back to an evoII M3 manual as a nice car to hoot in, the current V8 albeit a great car is just a tad too dear.

I went and had a look at that turbo POS.

Waste of a fucking plane trip it was. He has it at 50k, and would take 45. I wouldn't offer him 35 for the pile of crap. It would cost 20 to get it back up to sctratch and then you still have something someone has fucked with. The wing nut that owns it has no idea. He bought it like it is, or so he says.
