Hi Guys,

I but over a 06 GS from the UK and need to get the maps for OZ for the navigation system.
Yes I know I could change the head unit over for a more modern one with latest maps but I would prefer to keep the original one if there is a download of local maps or a disc I can purchase.
Can anybody help me with this one?

Cheers,
Spiderman

Thanks Adam.

I guess I can live without the navigation function.

Cheers.

Are you sure? I've often wondered about this as my 2004 4200cc just says not active, but I found this

http://www.carpoint.com.au/all-cars/dealer/details.aspx?Cr=4&R=11873356&trecs=15&__Ns=pCar_RankSort_Int32%7C1%7C%7CpCar_Price_Decimal%7C1%7C%7CpCar_Make_String%7C0%7C%7CpCar_Model_String%7C0&__sid=135BC43C2A11&__Nne=15&__Qpb=1&seot=1&__N=1216%201246%201247%201252%201282%204294965570%204294965360&silo=1011

Which says it has an active sat nav, I know it's a 2005 but surely it's just software? I've asked the importer but they just give me the company line.

A number of 4200 series owners have tried locating disks (and even attempting to convert F car disks that run on Becker units fitted to that car) without success. Only answer is to see it operational in the car - i have my doubts.

I just had a discussion with a car system integration specialist about all this. I thought he may know cracks and short cuts but it appears there's really little option.

Having someone go to check out that car - told there was a 3rd party remote unit available that sits under the seat and runs thru the std info system.

Giveaway is the ad talks about a remote unit - not std with these cars. NAVTEQ did not make OZ maps for this model
