I wonder what made them pick the SA SF430 for a fine and not the NSW or possibly one of the other states (assuming that plate is issued in the other states as well).

Probably sent it to all of them hoping they all would pay

That works..

In NSW I've had two (camera) notices for 'not pay toll' in Sydney.

Both were described as 'heavy-commercial-vehicle'.

Well, one is a small two seat sports car, and the other is a 51 year old vintage car. So much for them checking with the RTA, obviously a lie. But the big problem is that the sports car has not been in Sydney since 2007, and the old car has NEVER been in Sydneyduring my custody. I live 500kms from Sydney.

So I immeditely phoned them, faxed them, and wrote an old fashioned letter. The result was instant cancellation of the notices. I also told them that their system was obviously full of flaws and was costing them money. I suggested they should update their program etc etc.

The bottom line is that their claims of checking with RTA records is a bluff. Had they done so in this case, the notices would never have been issued.
