So that's it then. If you don't have any plates now then forget it.

There's no 2-digit plates in the list, and the dozen or so 3-digit plates include nothing special.

Yeah, I'm not really interested in any of the 3-digit plates on offer - apart from just for having a 3-digit plate.

[ 66 666 ] is in the auction, that would be cool - no other Yahtzee plates on offer, just lots of full houses.

Hopefully the auction is a complete dud and Transport SA makes a loss on what they were selling them at previously. Greedy bastards!

Actually it's not the best timing for them with muscle cars failing to sell, interest rates up, petrol @ $1.50/litre. I would have thought that number plates are an expensive accessory for a expensive toys.

There will always be speculators with spare cash though.

What do you think this really means?  That you won't be able to buy/sell SA numeric plates?  You have to wait for someone in your family with them (not my feral family :( ) to die?

Full list of plates also available here: http://www.evansclarke.com.au/catalog.asp?catid=178

As far as I can tell, you can no longer go to the local motor reg and see what 'historic' numbers are available, pay the dollars and assign the plate. Plates can only be bought from TSA via auction - or bought and sold from someone who already has the rights. So the likleyhood of getting significant numbers = zero.

Like Mark has said previously though, "no pay, no play" but before where I could have bought a 5 digit plate for $800 and at least tried to get something significant (to me anyway), those options have now gone.

But this makes me  :scratchchin: :boggled:
