We had some very severe storms in Melbourne today.

At around 3pm the whole metro area had a fierce hail storm, with the hail between golf ball size and 10cm in diameter.

I was at The Glen Shopping Centre at the time getting a hair cut.  My car was parked outside when the storm started.  When the hail hit, I jumped out of the barber's chair, ripped off the apron and raced to move my car under cover.  My car was exposed for less than 1 minute.  But I was too late  :waah:   I HATE HAIL.

Did anyone else suffer damage?

During the storm on Springvale Road.  It was quite dangerous.  These hail stones were hitting really hard and many golf- and cricket-ball sized hail were bouncing 2-3m when they struck the ground.

The Glen carpark.  There was a torrent of water coming down this ramp.  People were screaming.  Hundreds of cars were damaged.  Broken windscreens.  I saw a new Audi A5, new M Benz C200, VW Golf R32 and various other cars with dozens of hits and damage to almost every panel.  Not happy at all.

That sux.

I am a PDR Tech in QLD and im on my way to Melb to repair cars from this storm.

From your pics it looks fully repairable by PDR.

Should be there on Monday. Looks like thousands of cars have been hit.

BTW, there's more storms forecast for Sunday too.

Is it expensive to have fixed?  There are about 15 dents on my roof only - no other dents I can see.  I'm comprehensively insured, but will have to pay my excess.

Thanks.  One hit me on the head whilst I was taking photos.  I quickly retreated!

What type of car is it? Nothing on the bonnet or boot? If it was completely outside when the storm hit theres got to be other damage

I can see 15 dents on your roof just in that pic, so there will be plenty more.
If its just the roof, still looking around $800+ so yeah it would be best to call your insurance co and make a claim.
