or maybe hear real timeless music -  and fast forward past the music of the 80's that should be buried.
You are right in many ways. Though there are some great composer singers our there, we went to see Alicia Keys & John Legend last year in the Hunter Vally & it was a brilliant concert, that said most of my listening music is from that era.

I'm a huge fan of the grunge music/seattle sound of the 90's  - that too, for me, will be timeless

Here's another famous lead singer from the 70's, hasn't aged quite as well as Daryl Hall, but equally talented

Brian Wilson had mental issues but the Beach Boys were THE surfers band of that era, great songs.

Paul McCartney once said if he had to take just one album onto a desert Island it would be Pet Sounds......

This goes for an hour but you should have the CD

Great story about George, I was at one of the first Adelaide GP's & lucky enough to get into the paddock, there I am standing out the back of the paddock to get a good look at the F1's going past in practice & I turn sideways & who is standing right beside me but George Harrison, I nearly fell over, I was a bit starstruck so didn't say anything, but he was renowned back then for loving GP racing, I remember thinking afterwards how great it was he was avoiding all the hoopla of being a star & he's out the back just enjoying the cars.

Owned a McLaren F1 too. His car is still owned by the family although very rarely seen.

Great backing vocals too -
Such a talent whilst such a sad life story...incredibly versatile singer songwriter, I loved much of his pop music all the way to the album he did "Songs From Last Century" this showed that versatility.
