Saw this on a forum somewhere a while ago and it made sense -

Choose your partner as follows -

1) must be kind hearted...any evidence of harshness or cruelty, forget it
2) similar intellectual capacity
3) matched sex drives
4) similar assets
5) know the person for long enough for initial chemistry to wear off

If you can get the first one you're well on the way , hard to tick all the boxes but if you marry someone because of movie star looks and initial good sex you're doomed unless you're very lucky, might take 10 or 20 years if you can hang on that long but it will come back to bite you in the end.

The more I look at that list and my decisions over the years the more I shake my head, oh NOW they tell me.

Very hard to resist a glamorous hot female that wants you though, by the time you're mature enough to do that (and you may be never reach that stage) it's too late.

Seriously, are we meant to keep them?

I dont still own the first car I bought, or the second or the third... I get bored with cars.
Maybe I get bored too easy... Ive never been one for long term projects.

Some people are meant to marry once and forever and some people arent.... so I'll stick with the hot looking ones that arent keepers. Ive had both and I still got bored.

If you want a keeper, the check list is great.
