I think what changed my mind was how effortlessly the GTR did it. If money was no option, I will still go the TT S but bang for your buck.....the GTR does win hands down.

Mind you, I did like how the TT S was quite twitchy, which is how I like a car to drive (not with that much understeer though :scared:)......the GTR, you just point & go but seemed a little "boring".....as such :?

Both would be great to have in the garage :)

If you are buying a car to track it, the GT-R has always been better than the Turbo, by every report I've read and every video I've seen.  It even gives the GT3 some hurry up, I believe.   :thumbsup:

I believe the MY11 & 10 are fine...

I find it funny that every one is comparing them against the turbo on the track.
The turbo is not the 911 track version it is the road version
I think it should be compared to the GT3 on the track and turbo on the road.

Either way they are very fast machines, I am quite keen to have a drive of one to find out for myself.

I have a 2008 Turbo and it felt like driving an armchair when I took delivery. It had almost no camber and relatively soft suspension (even with the boost) as you can see from the dogfight vid.
First thing I did was replace the suspension with Bilstein PSS10 and added just under a degree of extra camber all round  (better handling and significantly reduces the understeer) along with appropriate toe-in. It now handles 50% better.

I think Porsche caters too much for the hat-wearing German grandpas rather than driving enthusiasts with the Turbo. I think they feel you ought to buy the GT2 if you don't fit that mould.
