ROBBY GORDON'S STADIUM SUPER TRUCKS


Even more international action is added to the event with another Australian first in the form of Stadium Super Truck competition.

The brainchild of NASCAR legend and Dakar star Robby Gordon, these 650 horsepower trucks will be reaching speeds of 240 kilometres per hour and leap some five metres in the air and up to 45 metres as they race over special ramps on the full Clipsal 500 circuit.

We have similar to these, think they are the Australian Off Road Championship as a hanger on event to the WRC at Coffs each year at the Super Special Stage in town. In 2013 they had a demo, wrote one off before their event started and the owner of it got out on track and started laying into the driver, also is son.

Saw the same guys again in 2014, he was only allowed to do the procession drive and not over the jumps.

If similar they have awesome suspension travel
