The FIA World Touring Car Championship’s maiden visit to the Nürburgring Nordschleife proved a big hit with two spectacular races and a whole heap of drama thrown in for good measure.

CITROËN CONTINUED its domination of the World Touring Car Championship, winning both races at the Nürburgring. Reigning champion José María López converted his pole to victory, five seconds ahead of teammate Sébastien Loeb. Yvan Muller was third in the three-lap race.
